Craven Cottage witnesses Premier League football again this weekend when Wigan Athletic are our opponents. After the FA Cup 3rd round draw with Blackpool last weekend, Martin Jol will he hoping his side can get back to winning ways.
To follow
Martin Jol is more than likely to be without three prominent members of his first team squad with Mark Schwazer, John Arne Riise and Damien Duff all set to sit it out.
Simon Davies made his long-awaited return from injury in the U21 game with Chelsea on Thursday evening but is still a long way from being considered for selection.
Hugo Rodallega will be hoping to start against his former club
The best thing at our club since sliced bread.
Roberto Martinez brings Wigan south with five of his squad sidelined, these being Antolin Alcaraz, Adrian Lopez, Ben Watoson, Albert Crusat and Ryo Miyaichi.
Up front, Wigan will be without the dangerous Arouna Kone, who is away on international duty at the African Cup of Nations.
But, likely to make his debut are recent signings Roger Espinoza and Angelo Henriguez who is on loan from Manchester United.
An Argentine player who was once on the books of our neighbours Chelsea, someone who often flatters to deceive but remains dangerous.
Wigan arrive at Craven Cottage with the strange record of having won more games away from the DW Stadium than at it this season.
As for games against Fulham, Wigan started well on their ascension to the Premier League football winning the first three fixtures but in recent times Fulham have the upper hand winning six and drawing six of the last twelve encounters.
The officials on duty at Craven Cottage this weekend are:- Referee - M. Clattenburg Assistant - S. Beck Assistant - S. Child Fourth Official - M. Oliver
I`m confident we`ll get back to winning ways, at Craven Cottage. I`m taking a Berbatov inspired Fulham to win 3-1.
Our next fixtures have us making two trips to the north-west. On Tuesday evening we`re due to face Blackpool in our 3rd round FA Cup replay and next weekend we travel to the Etihad Stadium to take on the reigning champions Manchester City.
