Bullard Salutes Ronaldo!

It would appear that the inspiration for that free kick that won us all three points against Aston Villa came from an unlikely source.

That source being none other than the Manchester United flying winger Cristiano Ronaldo.

It seems that our Jimmy was so impressed listening to Ronaldo and Alex Ferguson spouting on during a recent interview that he decided imitation was a sort of flattery!

Here is his frank admission,

"I saw his quality free-kick last week and then listened to Ronaldo and Sir Alex Ferguson."

"They were talking about how much he practises and it gives you more incentive to do that."

"I took around forty free-kicks in training last Thursday, but I can`t practise as much as I`d like because I have to be careful with my knee."

"But for all that hard work to pay off at the weekend was a dream."

Practise makes perfect then!

or Scot Carson misjudged it :-)

NO! Jimmy placed that perfectly after he saw that scott couldn't get to it
Backslash2010
shame it was no where near as good as ronaldos ha ha

Carson did nothing wrong!!! He set his wall and then stood where anyother keeper would be! Bullard just managed to get it over the wall with enough cirl to have carson, who had already seen it late, have no chance of getting to it.

I think Carson made it look a lot better than it really was, but it was beautiful nonetheless. Doesn't any game winner look great this time of year?

salute Ronaldo - I've luv to give him a swift kick in the nuts to slow him down!
