'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Lawrie speaks

Lawrie S*****z has vowed to bounce back after being sacked as Fulham manager in December and believes that his managerial reputation is still intact.

After an more thna unsuccessful spell at Craven Cottage, the former Northern Ireland manager managed to win only two matches and was given his marching orders with the club sitting in 18th place.

However, Sanchez believes he can still manage at the top level.

'I had three years of continuous success with Northern Ireland, and now in three months, those three years have gone out of the window to an extent. But, I am a good manager and have proved that I am a good manager with Northern Ireland', he told Setanta.

'My reputation my have been tarnished by that season at Fulham, though in effect it was only August to December, but that reputation I made with Northern Ireland and earlier with Wycombe should not be thrown out with the bathwater.'

Lawrie also felt that his sacking was harsh as he believes his team needed time to gel.

'You are judged on the players you buy as a manager,' he continued. 'Obviously as an international manager, you inherit players and make the best of them.

'However, I saved Fulham from relegation last season, and over my time I brought in 15 players and transferred out 15, and it takes time for them to gel.

'I believe that 17 games wasn't a true reflection of what I wanted to achieve at Fulham, but that is the way of the Premier League.'

Anyone else laughing at this?

Well, well, Mr Sanchez, you certainly do love yourself, don't you?

I answered this rant to Setanta, it was blunt but true and they saw fit not to publish my views, no problem from me, but this guy is now starting to rankle me, he should just shut up. He doesn`t seem to be intelligent enough to realise the damage he has done to our club, isn`t it time he went to see a shrink ?.

any chance of settling for a simple castration?

He did not save Fulham from relegation, we were saved by Benitez picking a weakened team when Liverpool came to the Cottage. Idiot (Sanchez, not Benitez. Although...)

Let's hope he does get a top job in the summer, Baird is worth at least £4m now with top flight experience, Kamara's availible for a bargain £7.5m, there'll be a price war with Rangers for the £6m rated Steven Davis and some great prospects in Bouazza, Cook, Healy, etc. Now where's your cheque book Mr Sanchez?

The man is deluded, I laughed out loud when I read this the first time... he certainly thinks a lot of himself, maybe thats how he convinced M A-F to part with 25 million quid of his money!
