Hodgson on Bullard!

Human nature probably dictated that despite us winning our first game in the Premier League for three months, the events of last Thursday would be the first question on most reporters` lips.

It may have been a goal to grace any occasion but even Roy Hodgson, facing the press had to start with the Baird / Bullard bust up.

With rumours circulating that any punishment will be decided by a players 'kangaroo court` rather than being club instigated, hopefully all the fuss will quickly die down. However this is what Hodgson had to say with regard to the bust up,

"It was a regrettable incident but Baird was quick to apologise, take the full blame and Jimmy is mature enough to accept."

Hopefully, that`ll be the end of the matter. Further into his post match press conference, Roy commented on Jimmy Bullard remarking,

"I`m pleased for Jimmy because we have to give him enormous credit. He has come back from the sort of injury which might have had lesser players asking - Can I play at the highest level again?"

Well clearly he can. The bubbly character has only been back for a matter of weeks but already he`s started to accumulate the man-of-the-match awards!
