Nevland on Fulham!

Joining us in midweek was heralded by Erik Nevland as something akin to a dream coming true.

However, what us amateur hacks didn`t realise is just how close an association Nevland and Hodges have had in the past.

It transpires that Hodgson played a major part in saving Nevland (and Hangeland) from relegation before when the trio were at Viking FC.

In fact Nevland reckons Hodgson has some almost Houdini power when it comes to saving sides from relegation and that he can do the same again.

Here`s what he had to say,

"If it hadn`t of been for Roy we wouldn`t have made it."

"I didn`t have a great scoring record that season because we played really badly but I did my work and scored a few important goals which helped."

"I`m hoping I can start scoring straight away here but time will tell - and the most important thing is that we get ourselves out of it. It doesn`t matter who scores the goals but if we can I can contribute to that it would be perfect."

"It`s going to be a tough job staying up but with the players we have I think it`s possible."

Well we sincerely hope so Erik!

would you prefer Coleman though if he'd have been given £37 million to spend?
merlin
possibly yes! Cookie was treated appallingly when it came to players being sold and no cash for replacements!
