Nevland Dream Dies!

Nevland Dream Dies!

Any pretensions the Norwegian striker, Erik Nevland, had of coming to Craven Cottage appear to have been dashed by his current club.

It would seem that Groningen have priced Nevland out of a move to London and that during a meeting on Friday, in Amsterdam, the two parties couldn`t reach a compromise.

Naturally, the thirty-one year old is disappointed that the move hasn`t materialised and speaking to the local press had this to say,

'I understand why Fulham returned to London.'

'The Groningen directors are living in a fantasy world. I clearly stated what I thought about the issue, but then the Groningen directors just stood up and left the meeting.

'I honestly believed that it would be sorted out, but Groningen demanded
much more than was offered.

'When you have come as far as negotiations, I thought it would be sorted out.

'I have experienced many setbacks in football, but this is the biggest.'

I am disappointed, he looks sharp in the vids, and would have gotten us some goals.
