More Scharner news!

Fulham`s quest to sign the versatile Wigan Athletic player, Paul Scharner, looks to be floundering on the rocks.

On Tuesday we reported that Fulham, according to reports had submitted a bid of £3 million which was reported on Wednesday as having been rejected by the Wigan board.

Today, we`re able to field a quote form the Wigan manager, Steve Bruce, that suggests that the deal is a no-goer unless Fulham are prepared to come up with a substantial sum of money with Bruce remarking,

"It would take a hell of a lot of money to tempt me to sell."

I guess we`d better either flash the cash or start looking elsewhere!

Scharner doesn't want championship football, so a transfer fee is irrelevant.
