Scharner Linked to Fulham!

Scharner Linked to Fulham!

This morning, a leading tabloid is carrying an article, albeit brief, that Roy Hodgson has targeted Paul Scharner, of Wigan, as a possible transfer target.

Scharner, an Austrian, has settled in well at Wigan since his arrival two years ago and can play in several positions ranging from centre half to midfield.

The paper is suggesting that Fulham are on the verge of offering £3 million for the versatile Austrian. Unfortunately the Wigan boss, Steve Bruce, is unlikely to be entertained at that price.

However, it is also suggested that Fulham, with money to spend, may well test Wigan`s resolve with a higher offer.

We`ll endeavour to keep you informed of any further developments.
