Fulham Chase Spanish Ace!

Fulham Chase Spanish Ace!

According to reports reaching us, Fulham are reportedly looking to sign the Valencia midfield player David Albelda. In fact, talks are, we are told, at an advanced stage and could be concluded next week.

Apparently, Albelda would move to Craven Cottage until the end of the season, on loan, and would double his current salary to £50,000 a week.

Albelda, at thirty years of age, is currently out of favour at Valencia after, like David Villa, falling out with their Dutch manager, Ronald Koeman.

Koeman, seeking to rebuild a Valencia side that has slumped alarmingly this season, has told Albelda he has no future at the Mestella.

With Euro 2008 on the horizon, Albelda is keen to find pastures new in order to play as much first team football as possible.

Fulham have rivals for Albelda with Newcastle and Middlesbrough also looking to sign him. However, the suggestion is that Albelda wants to move to London giving Fulham a slight edge.
