Marlon King Wants Out!

Recently, we reported, on a couple of occasions, that the Watford striker was in our sights with regards to a January transfer.

With us clearly suffering from the continued absence of Brian McBride, we`ve lacked a striker with the power to get into defences and also with the pace to trouble Premier League centre halves.

Well, according to the latest rumours, Marlon King has intimated to his present club - Watford, that`d he`d like to move on in this transfer window.

Roy Hodgson, according to the same rumours, is a keen admirer of the player and is keen to set up a deal.

All that remains is for an agreeable fee to be negotiated, or does it?

I'm not convinced! Another championship player? Can he make it in the premiership?

Talk of a 5m+ move.... I think Watford would take the cash as I am unsure that King is really ready yet for the prem. Great striker and love him to bits but 5m+ would be a great deal.

Unfortunatly all we can attract is Championship players, the decent players won't come here, we need someone like: Crouch, Defoe or maby even Saha Back because they are proven Premier League strikers BUT they wont leave thier comfy little half game a mounth hidding holes

As my counter-part Dr Watford says, he isn't a Premiership player, but his head is already there, you can have him for 5mill, especially if he isn't going to put the effort in for us.
