Al Fayed to Open Cheque Book!

Despite us not having a confirmed manager, it would appear that Al Fayed is prepared to sanction the purchases of three players in the January transfer window.

Apparently, talks have been held to determine where it is perceived the team are weak and these talks have reputedly suggested we`ll be buying a striker, a full back and a defensive midfielder.

Indeed, confirmation regarding the January transfer window policy has come from one of the few to escape the managerial cull on Friday, Les Reed, this is what he had to say,

"We`ve got an extensive scouting network and we`ve identified the three positions that we want to strengthen."

Must be really hard coming to that sort of conclusion Les!

So who will come in as manager, surely Jurgen Klinsmann won't be interested, he has enough money and loves LA ?

We dont need another full back!! we need a striker, a defensive midfielder and another keeper!
oranje_emu
orange - I felt the full back thing was mad - you've got Konchesky, Omozusi, Baird why another! As for the keeper - join the gang when it comes to injuries mate!
merlin
orange - are you serious about Billy Davies? Surprised if you are!
merlin
i really am, he's a very good manager. I'd like to point out the season b4 derby came up they almost got relegated. then he came in and got them premoted! 2 years earlier than he was planing! He got punished this season for bringing them up too quickly!
oranje_emu
