4,000 More Seats!

West London appears to be awash with money!

Just down the roads Chelsea have more than enough cash to satisfy their requirements and now it appears that just up the road Queens Park Rangers have won the lottery!

Meanwhile, down here at Craven Cottage, we just have to be content with the fact that Mr Al Fayed has poured enormous funds into our own club without us really hitting the heights we anticipated, that is unless you class being a Premier League side reward enough!

However, there is some good news to report off the pitch.

Hammersmith and Fulham council have finally approved plans for 4,000 extra seats to be installed at Craven Cottage. The extra 4,000 seats will increase the stadium capacity to close to 30,000 and will also provide additional revenue.

The decision to approve the growth was made despite fierce opposition from the locals and Fulham had, reportedly, even considered relocation.

The club responded to the decision by remarking,

"We are delighted. Now our application has been successful a full schedule of works and timescales will be communicated as soon as they are available."

All it needs now is for the club to remain in the Premier League; otherwise Craven Cottage could well see banks and banks of empty seats for far from attractive Championship games!
