Sanchez Pursues Hennessey!

According to several leading tabloids, Lawrie Sanchez has declared his intent to sign the promising Wolves keeper, Wayne Hennessey.

Despite the fine form shown in recent weeks by Anti Niemi, Sanchez is only too aware that the Finnish international isn`t getting any younger.

This season he signed back-up in the form of the ageing ex-Spurs keeper Kasey Keller, however Hennessey is seen as the long term solution.

At twenty-years of age, the Wolves keeper has been in magnificent form for both club and country in recent weeks and although he recently signed a three year contract it is thought the allure of the Premier League might be enough seduce him.

The tabloids are currently quoting a fee of 3 million; however, with Sunderland having recently spent a reputed 9 million on Craig Gordon, Al Fayed just might have to open the purse strings a little further to secure a deal.
