Volz Comes Through Reserve Match!

After being laid up for so long we`re pleased to announce that Moritz Volz has successfully come through the reserve game against Portsmouth last night.

Volz who has been absent most of the season spoke about his recent troubles prior to the game remarking,

"I`ve got some extra fitness work to do for the next two weeks t get match fit again, and then, once I`m fit and available for selection, I`ve got another task on my hands - getting into the team."

"I`ve done extra yoga to get more balance, and I enjoyed that. I`ve filled my days with as much rehab stuff as I can, so that when I`ve finished at three of four o`clock, I`ve had that feeling that - OK, I didn`t train, but I still worked hard today - that kept me going."

"It isn`t my favourite way to spend time, watching football from the balcony instead of playing it."

After the game Volz had this to say,

'I made my comeback in the reserves last night after a couple of months out of action getting my injuries treated. Aside from the fact that we won 3-0, I was really pleased with the way things went from a personal perspective. Matches are always a good test of where you are in your recovery and if last night was anything to go by; all seems to be going to plan.'
