Hughes on Healy!

Hughes on Healy!

Okay, it may not be a record that blows people away but as far as we here at Vital Fulham are concerned it is still one we should be proud of!

Therefore, we make no mistake about once again harping on about it. Since David Healy signed form Leeds we`ve been waiting for him to show his best form, indeed replicate the form he continually shows for Northern Ireland.

However, given time, we`re sure that he`ll be able to produce it.

After David had beaten the record, previously held by Davor Suker, his international and club team mate, Aaron Hughes joined those in offering praise to the striker.

Here`s what Hughes had to say,

"It is unbelievable that in a country this size and the way we play, David has still broken the goal scoring record."

"He probably only gets a few chances every game, yet he still manages to score. Look at the goal he scored here. It was not a fluke he just made it out of nothing."

"He just creates his own chances and will continue to do that throughout his career. He is an out and out goal scorer."

"But this record won`t mean anything to him. He is like the rest of the players and just wants to qualify for the tournament."

Unfortunately, whilst there is mounting optimism in the Northern Ireland camp, we here at Vital Fulham believe that they`ll need 'Lady Luck` to smile on them if they are going to get to Euro 2008.

Whilst a victory in Spain might be achievable, we believe the stumbling block could well be relying on Lativa to turn over the Swedes, especially in Sweden.
