Volz - Two Weeks Away from Fitness!

Any plans that Lawrie Sanchez may have of withdrawing his under-fire defender, Chris Baird, out of the firing line have been temporarily put on hold.

Baird, who was signed by Sanchez in the summer, has had difficulty settling into the Premier League and Sanchez recently spoke about not being able to give him the opportunity to take a rest due to the injuries suffered by Moritz Volz.

However, any immediate plans to take such action will have to be temporarily shelved as it is being reported that Moritz Volz is still, at least, to weeks away from returning.

His injuries which affect his foot, his hip and his shoulder are proving troublesome with regard to a complete recovery.

Baird, who had a reasonable game against Derby County last weekend, will therefore remain in the frontline for the visit to Sunderland.
