Keller on his injury woe!

The highs and lows of being a professional footballer are probably well illustrated by the recent experiences of our own Kasey Keller.

The American, now approaching the veteran stages of his career at thirty seven years of age, was a surprise signing from Borrussia Moenchengladbach in the summer but his arrival saw his fast rival Anti Niemi as our first choice keeper.

Sadly, due to a tendon injury, it now looks as if Kasey will be out of action until the New Year at the earliest, speaking to the media, this what the popular American had to say about matters,

"I feel absolutely destroyed, devastated."

"It`s hugely disappointing because things were going so well and then this comes along and now I have to start all over again."

"I just wanted to make my name here and I was doing that until I suffered this cruel injury."

Here`s hoping Kasey can come back and join the fray quicker than anticipated.

I feel for him, despite his ex-Spurs status - it'll be a hard road back at his age!

he was happy to play at Borrussia Moenchengladbach but he was delighted to play top flight again, but this injury could see the end of his career

it's a bad one at his age, also, apologies for the picture, we've not secured one of Kasey yet :-)
