'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Early Pompey Visit News!

Fulham entertain free-scoring Portsmouth this weekend. It`s a clash we`d like to win.

However, it also sees the return of Papa Bouba Diop to Craven Cottage only a matter of weeks after he was sold as the transfer window prepared to slam shut.

It`s difficult to know exactly how he`ll be treated by the Fulham faithful, however, I`d hazard a guess that he`ll receive a warm ovation before the game before getting the usual barracking reserved for ex-players during the actual game itself.

Hopefully, we`ll not see any of those rasping shots bursting the net and he`ll have something of a quiet game.

Nevertheless, Papa has already settled in well at Fratton Park and this is what he had to say about the impending visit,

'And I'm happy to go back to Fulham because I made a lot of friends while I was there. Changing your club is just a part of football and today I'm very much a Portsmouth player.

'I came here for a new challenge and I'm very pleased with the start I've made. I'm enjoying myself doing the job I'm paid to do - with a lot of very good players around me.'

Maby the curse of the returning player, but still we should win this and if we don't i'll personally slap sanchez for a terrible start!!!!!!!!!!

...should still win this? we go to blackburn and get a win, are 6th in the table, despite only playing teams who finished last year with more points than us, and are looking to chalenge for europe. i agree, you should DEFINATLY be looking to win this, as you should look to win all home games, but we will to, so no reason to slap sanches - we are a good team you know!!!
