Fulham once again threw away a lead this evening, not once but twice.
Having taken the lead through Simon Davies in the twelfth minute and the defence looking solid, it felt as if Fulham would hold out for a one, maybe two, nil win.
But as usual Fulham, feeling obliged to give fans full value for money, allowed City get back into the game.
David Healy was set free by Simon Davies only for Richard Dunne to get back and nip the ball from the feet of the Northern Irish man.
Davies did what Healy couldn't, a wonderfully crafted move finished neatly by the Welshman. Bouazza took the ball of Michael Johnson, played the ball to Clint Dempsey who played it to Steve Davis who fed it on to the overlapping Bouazza who crossed it for Davies who headed home.
Fulham were in the ascendancy and Davies shot wide of the goal and pinning City in their own half.
However City stayed strong and equalized through Martin Petrov, who 'was high on his list of transfer targets' Sanchez said speaking before the game, took the ball pass Baird and fired in a shot which Niemi will be disappointed not to save, palmed the ball into the goal.
Bouazza scored a scorcher of a free kick whilst Mpenza equalized, heading home a ball palmed out by Niemi.
So two goals scored in the first five minutes of the second half, surely there wouldn't be any more? Wrong, Martin Petrov played a one two past Baird before slotting past Niemi at his near post.
The action was not finished there as Danny Murphy became the toast of the night by slotting past Schmeichel.
Vital Man of the Match: Hameur Bouazza - Very, very impressive, ran the City defence all over the shop, great free kick too.
Vital Villain: Antii Niemi - A little more than shocking tonight, had a hand in two of Citys three goals.
Vital Moment: Sanchez substitutions - I was critical of them, the substitutions Sanchez made, last week, however today he got them spot on.
