Fulham`s Murphy`s Hopes for 2008!

Fulham`s Murphy`s Hopes for 2008!

Many people were surprised when Fulham made a last minute swoop to sign the Spurs midfielder, Danny Murphy.

After all the ex-Liverpool player had hardly set the world alight since leaving Anfield and playing for first Charlton and then Spurs.

Indeed, Danny has yet to make the starting eleven for Fulham but since arriving, he`s taken time out to assess the current situation and how he perceives Fulham might do this season.

Here`s what he had to say to the official site,

'There has been a big turnover of players this summer and for things to click right into place straight away isn't always easy,'

'With ability that we've got there's no reason why we shouldn't be looking at being in the top half of the table as a starting point."

'We have a squad that is building together, we have a really good blend of youth and experience and we're confident of doing well as a team.'

Well all we`ll add to that Danny is that we`d better start moving in the right direction fairly soon, hopefully starting with Manchester City this Sunday.
