African Cup Swayed Diomansy!

Out of all our close season signings, I have to admit that Diomansy Kamara was the one I thought I`d reserve judgement on.

The fee we paid for him seemed, in my opinion, to be way over the odds.

Thankfully, my reservations were unfounded. Diomansy may not have set the goal scoring charts alight but his enthusiasm and never-say-die attitude have prompted me to suggest that he`ll do for me.

However, it seems that Kamara, if the reports on Sentanta Sports are to be believed, dithered about joining Fulham.

It transpires that Kamara was on the verge of joining another club but stalled when the negotiations in progress would have prevented him from playing in the forthcoming African Nations Cup.

Fulham, apparently had no such reservations, here`s what Diomansy had to say,

"I had another proposition at the start from a club that refused me to play the African Cup so I did not sign there.'

'Then I discussed it with the coach before coming here and he totally understood my position so I thank him for that even if it will be a handicap for me and a little for the team.'

It`s our pleasure mate, just make sure you score enough goals to keep us in the top half of the table before you depart.

I'd hazard a guess he won't be away long, I can't see Senegal doing that well!

hopefully, that'll come true, whilst not wishing him any international heartache, January could be a defining month in our season!
Putney
Well if he scores enough to win them the cup that might start him rolling in the prem!
