Dempsey on the Wigan Game!

Despite having scored three goals in his last three games, there`s no way of getting away from the fact that Clint Dempsey could, and should have, won the game for us at the JJB Stadium.

In the second half, Clint had more than one chance to put the game out of Wigan`s reach but couldn`t quite manage it.

Here`s what Clint had to say about the game in his post match interview,

"I only had three chances and I scored one, so to me that`s a good stat. I have to keep looking at the positives and I`m scoring goals right now."

"We thought we might be on for a win so it`s disappointing but we`ve got a point and that`s better than we`ve done the last few times away."

"If we look at the positives then we`ll be a better team for it. We can dwell on it and think - 'what if` - then we`ll just find ourselves in a hole."

"I thought we were the better team and at least we ended up with something to show for it."

"I don`t think people will be low but I don`t think we`ll be jumping around either on the bus home. It`s definitely a better feeling than losing though."

Hopefully, Clint and the team can give us the win we crave for when Manchester City come to Craven Cottage this weekend.
