Baird on Northern Ireland!

After having been unfortunate enough to score the own goal that gave Latvia a suprise victory over Northern Ireland, our very own Chris Baird took time out to assess what the defeat meant to Ireland.

Speaking after the game, Baird had this to say,

"What can you say about that performance, absolutely terrible. We just didn`t perform from the start - we only picked it up when they scored a goal and it was a bit late by then."

"There is a bit of pressure on the Iceland game now - though we`re still confident we can go there and get a result."

Seeing as we now have more than affair sprinkling of Irishman in our squad, we thought we`d take the opportunity to, in the absence of any fixtures involving Fulham, concentrate on Northern Ireland this week.

Here`s hoping Baird and his team can get a result in Iceland to keep their dream alive.
