Goalies Galore!

Despite having recently signed Kasey Keller to give us additional cover in the position, the tabloids are reporting that Fulham are keen to add another keeper to the squad.

With Antii Niemi currently injured, due to a wrist injury, Lawrie Sanchez only has Tony Warner and Kasey Keller as his two front line keepers.

It`s not currently known how long Niemi will be out. Initially it was believed that it would only be for the first game of the season, however, it appears that the injury is proving troublesome when it comes to rehabilitation.

Therefore, according to reports being received, Sanchez is keen to snap up the Port Vale keeper, Joe Anyon.

Anyon is twenty years old and would command a fee in the region of £250,000 and would supplement the first team squad.

However, once Niemi is fit, surely four keepers would be considered as too many?

The Vale board have turned down an initial £250,000 bid, but we're expecting you to come back with something a little more interesting!

Seems like a good investment but why oh why did we buy keller

Great idea Lawrie, get a 4th keeper in for reserve team cover. While you're at it why not sell a couple of defenders and try to bring in a new midfielder?
