Fulham to miss out on Howard!

If the rumours are correct, the last week before the transfer window slams shut, could see a right old transfer merry-go-round!

It would appear that Portsmouth, Derby and Bolton are all part of a complicated transfer triangle that could see David, Nugent, Robert Earnshaw, Steve Howard and Nicolas Anelka all change clubs.

Portsmouth seem intent on trading in David Nugent only a matter of weeks after signing him from Preston in order to raise sufficient funds to purchase Anelka.

Nugent would arrive at Derby who according to the press are willing to pay Portsmouth the same fee they paid Preston. This would then mean Derby having to sell Earnshaw and Howard to finance the deal.

Therefore, you`d think that Howard and a move to Craven Cottage, as McBrides replacement would be a simple enough task.

Apparently not!

It`s being suggested that Derby are reluctant to sell one of their players t a team they consider could be a relegation rival, namely us!

Cheeky sods!

Football politics but can you really blame Derby? What if he were to score the winner against them and relegate them?

Putney, you lot wouldn´t happen to be interested in having Sheva on a short loan spell now would you?
