Diop Seeks Euro Dream!

Earlier this week my co-editor reported that Papa Bouba Diop looks like leaving Fulham.

At the time, there was no likely destination; however, the transfer rumour-mill has already seen the powerful midfield player linked to both Portsmouth and Bolton Wanderers.

To see Papa leave Craven Cottage will, we feel, create mixed feelings amongst the Craven Cottage support, but as is often the case, all good things come to an end. Speaking recently, Papa had this to say,

"This is my fourth season with Fulham and I have never won anything."

"I have many offers and I am just waiting."

Clearly, the desire to win things is probably the over-riding factor as Papa then goes on to mention the fact that he`d like to have the opportunity to play in the Champions League or the UEFA Cup.

At twenty-nine years of age, the next season or two will obviously be crucial if he is to fulfil his dream.

Therefore, with Portsmouth and Bolton supposedly amongst the front-runners for his signature, can we safely assume they`ll be out of the running due to the words Europe and those two clubs not exactly being synonymous with each other?
