Diop to leave.

Diop to leave.

Speaking to Sky Sports.com, 'The Wardrobe' Papa Bouba Diop announced that boss Lawrie Sanchez had given him the go ahead to leave Fulham.

'I told the new manager in the summer I wanted a new challenge, he said 'now this is my team so if you want to leave go ahead'' Diop said to Sky Sports.com

'I don't know if it will be anyone like Arsenal or Manchester United but I have good teams in England interested and I must wait. I don't want to say who they are yet.'

Portsmouth are believed to be leading the race to capture the Senegalese player.

Good luck Papa>

Pompey would be a good place though - prospects of a higher position in the table :-)

he's a good player no doubt but he's wanted to leave for a long time so there's no point keeping an unhappy player
