Fulham have won their first pre season friendly against Dagenham and Redbridge.
Fulham beat the Daggers one goal to nil with a strike from Diomansy Kamara on his debut.
The goal came near the end of the first half when Kamara shot the ball in the right side of the net. After the match three players spoke to the official site including Kamara, Volz and Knight. They each commented on the game with the scorer Kamara remarking,
"It was our first game in preparation, it was a good game and a nice goal and I`m happy about it. It was my first game with my new strike partners but I have a good feeling and I like this team, they play very good football.
Hopefully Kamara will hit the ground running during the new season and silence a few of those doubters from other clubs.
Zat Knight, who, despite rumour to the contrary, signed an extended contract in the summer had this to say with regard to the competitive nature of the squad
"There are more players in more positions so everyone has to fight for their place. We have to be better away from home than in the last two years but we also have to do well at home. We need to start turning those draws into three points.
Hopefully in the next few pre-season games the team can start to gel and start getting used to each other so they can work as a team and get us the results we deserve.
