Healy & Sanchez Talk!

Following on from the signing of David Healy, our sixth of the close season, the inevitable press conference was held.

Healy, who has made more of a reputation on the international stage than the domestic one in recent years, adds to our growing Irish contingent and this fact wasn`t lost on him during his brief comments offered after he`d signed.

Here`s what he had to say

"Obviously I know Lawrie Sanchez well and, through his time as Northern Ireland boss, he has given me a lot of support, so I`m really looking forward to playing under him in the Premier League."

"It was a disappointing end to my time at Leeds with the club being relegated and I wish them well for the future."

Sanchez, on the other hand, was keen to praise his latest signing having already witnessed what he has achieved on the national stage and remarked,

"My interest in signing David Healy has been well documented in recent months and I am delighted that he has signed for the club."

"David has showcased his striking pedigree at the highest level with Northern Ireland in recent years and I have every confidence that he will replicate the same form for Fulham."

With Diomansy Kamara having already signed, it looks like there could be exciting times ahead as Fulham seek to move forward under the stewardship of Sanchez.

Cracking signing for fulham, he will be a top quality premiership player, look a his record for Northern Ireland, forget his record at leeds they were just awful. Healey will be pure class for Fulham. Coming from a Geordie

Goodluck David, It never quite worked for you at Leeds and I think a new club was the best for both parties.

I dont rate him but he might prove me wrong, i doubt it but. Its one thing having a good international record but its another having a good club record. The NI press is trying to portray this as one of the biggest steals of the summer. Somehow i dont think so.
