Baird chooses Fulham!

Much sought after defender, Chris Baird has agreed to join Fulham VitalFulham understands.

Baird who handed in a transfer request at Southampton in early June as a result of Fulhams interest had two offers one from Sunderland and one from Fulham.

Sunderland offered average Premiership wages, still an increase on Bairds Championship pay but it is reported his wife didn't want to move north, so Baird waited for Fulham to come in with a bid and last night accepted the Cottagers offer verbally, so unless Sunderland up their wages considerably and Mrs Baird has a change of mind, Baird will be a Fulham player today although no deal is expected to go through for Lee Cook.

merlin-- as is the chavski one ;-). Lol na, live in southampton so have a small interest were the saints players end up. Never thought any one would buy him tho
