Kamara & Sanchez!

With the transfer now done and dusted, much has been made of the fee Fulham have paid West Bromwich Albion for Diomansy Kamara.

It is thought that West Brom, learning of the late interest from West Ham, did their best to up the ante and Fulham were willing to pay.

However, Diomansy is looking forward to next season and after signing for the club had this to say,

"When the chance to sign for Fulham came up, it was just a question off making sure we could agree everything. I`m delighted that it is finally done and I can concentrate on playing in the Premier League."

Whilst there is nothing too strenuous in the statement, it is pleasing to hear that Diomansy is full of enthusiasm for the challenge ahead.

As for Lawrie Sanchez, this is what he had to say with regards to his altest acquisition,

"Any player from the Championship is a gamble."

"But Diomansy has all the attributes of a first class striker - pace, agility and a desire to score."

With thirty-two days to go until the 2007-2008 season gets underway, I`m sure there will be plenty of time to mull over the merits of paying such a sum for Kamara.

I'll reserve judgment until I've seen him play a few times in the flesh!
