Roberts Looking For London Return!

If the tabloids are to be believed, Lawrie Sanchez is keen to put together a front two pairing of Diomansy Kamara and Jason Roberts.

With the Kamara deal looking to be approaching a successful conclusion, all eyes will inevitably turn towards the future of Jason Roberts.

Roberts, currently playing for Blackburn, had a disappointing season last year. During the early stages he struggled with injuries and it was only towards the latter stages that he showed the Ewood Park faithful exactly what he could do.

Indeed, those performances seem to be a sticking point when it comes to a transfer. Blackburn boss, Mark Hughes, invariably wants a fair price and whereas our original offer (reputedly made last week) may well have been enough to tempt the Welshman into parting, those performances have seen the price quoted soar towards the £4 million mark.

With a reported budget of £10 million to play with, the acquisition of, first Kamara and then Roberts, would see the kitty well and truly spent.

Therefore, if Roberts does want to come to Fulham and Blackburn refuse to budge on the price, it seems inevitable that Sanchez will need to sell some of the current staff to generate funds. Perhaps, Helguson, Brown and even Diop could become the sacrificial lambs?

Your thoughts please!

To be fair guys I don't think JR will leave us this summer. However, if you are willing to pay £4mill it may sway things! Don't think he is worth it though. Good signing for you guys today by the way.
