Wigan After Fulham`s Brown

After learning, yesterday, that Jimmy Bullard is on schedule for a comeback before the festive period, we today learn that another of our feisty midfield players could be about to leave.

Michael Brown, who has earned a reputation as something of a hard-man in the midfield area is wanted by Wigan Athletic. It`s thought that Wigan have tried to tempt Fulham into parting with Brown with an opening bid of £2.5 million.

Brown, who is now twenty-nine, isn`t viewed as surplus to requirements by Sanchez but the price may well entice the club into doing a deal.

It remains to be seen whether Brown, who played for Manchester City previously, could be swayed by a return to the north-west.

if he goes i don't think he'll need replacing in the squad, there are a couple of youngsters coming through who can replace him, so the money can be used to strengthen other areas.

I doubt whether I'd ever choose Wigan over Fulham but there again I'm a little biased!
Putney
Well putney those wigan pies might just sway him. After all he is a northern lad!
worbo
the lure of Wigan Pier eh!
merlin
sorry for buttin in but previous clubs - Man City, Sheff Utd, Spurs I believe!
merlin
sorry again - but ain't he a dirty fecker? Opta stats - most fouls!
merlin
Yes merlin and yes merlin! Think he knows his days are numered if the rumours about Davis are true. Wigan would mean he could continue playing in the top flight, as I don't think there will be many others chasing at this level.
Zeno
Anybody fancy a central midfield of Diop,Davis,Bullard and Sean Davis
Mike Forest.
No Mike, severe lack of width!
Zeno
And just realised you've got 'Sean' Davis in there, please tell me that's a typo and not a wish list!!!
Zeno
Zeno, I meant how about having 4 of those cms to choose from and yes let the prodigal son return.
Mike Forest.
