Wigan Rival Fulham for Healy!

Wigan Rival Fulham for Healy!

After we assumed that the deal was a done deal, it seems that we have a competitor for the signature of David Healy.

Indeed, the arrival of Wigan Athletic on the scene could well test the resolve of the Northern Ireland star to move south.

With rumours circulating Mrs Healy isn`t too keen to leave her Manchester abode to sample the bright lights of London, Wigan on this occasion could prove to be a viable option.

However, one thing is certain and that is that David Healy will be leaving Leeds United once the furore surrounding their administration problems dies down.

Gus Poyet, he of Chelsea and Spurs fame, had this to say with regards to the matter,

"It will be practically impossible to keep hold of him."

All Healy has to decide now is whether it`ll be the pies of Wigan or the splendour of London.

Is there really a choice?

There's a lot of speculation surrounding Healy but nothing from the club yet. I'm not aware of any official approach, correct me if I'm wrong. Are we to assume that this is newspapers doing their usual trick and putting 2 and 2 together to make 5?
