Kamara deal to copycat Mido?

It has been reported that Diomansy Kamaras transfer from West Brom to Fulham has stalled due to.... you guessed it, WAGES.

So far deals have reportedly also stalled for Sami Hyypia, Mido, Lee Chun Soo and now Diomansy Kamara due to, yup you've guessed the right answer again, WAGES.

If these reports are true, then you can look at it at a couple of ways.

1) Sanchez is playing hardball, taking no bullshit and only wants to sign players that want to play for the club and not players who are licking their lips as of the size of their weekly wage.

2) The players are asking for ridiculous wages.

3) Fulham have absolutely no intention of paying £20,000 for one player, perhaps looking to give them slightly larger signing on fees and save money?

4) The utmost pessimistic view; Fulham are struggling financially and are waiting to get their twenty million pounds from TV deals if they have not already got it yet.

You make your mind up and get discussing on the Vital football Fulham forum.

Interesting article! I'm struggling to see how you're going to sign anyone decent for less than £20k a week though!
merlin
Healy and Hughes maybe Baird might come for that type of money.
Mike Forest.
£20K a week is that all but it is a good article.

I think a point 5 needs to be added to the above, Al Fayed has and is continuing to trim the wage bill to keep the outgoins down. All the big earners at the club, mostly Tigana transfers, have been released or sold over the last few years and replaced with lower standard but cheaper alternatives. Whether Al Fayed is saying enough is enough on the financial side of things or is balancing the books for a sale is the next question!
Zeno
I thought he was looking to sell months ago!
merlin
on the positive side at least we're trying to balance the books and not making a huge loss!
Putney
Agreed Putney, but balancing the books will never get us any success or keep us in the league! It's an old one but true, speculate to accumilate.
