Fulham v Chelsea - The Fallout!

I shouldn`t laugh but I can`t help it!

Back in March 2006, after Chelsea had been beaten at Craven Cottage, some unsavoury scenes took place on the pitch.

After William Gallas had acted like a petulant brat after being sent off, the victory was celebrated with a good natured pitch invasion.

Sadly, that good natured invasion was soon spoiled by a few hot-heads, from both teams, getting involved in a fracas.

At the time, I thought the authorities would come down hard on us, after all the infamous, dark force of evil, Chelsea were involved.

Surprisingly, it`s taken until yesterday for the official verdict to be issued.

Now I know life down by the river is often taken at a slower pace but the time taken to address the issue has seen endless.

I can`t help thinking if the incident had of taken place at Stamford Bridge it would all have been done and dusted in a matter of weeks, with probably the inevitable closure of our neighbours ground.

As for us, we simply showed that it was a one-off, that stewarding has improved and we`ve been given no more than a warning.

Who was it who said the big boys get away with murder?
