It could be a hard slog!

It could be a hard slog!

In our latest poll, we asked if you, our readership were optimistic about next season.

With our transfer targets yet to materialise, we could be described as stagnant when it comes to our squad. We`ve been linked with several players but are yet to see the fruits of our quest.

Indeed, our latest poll enquires as to which of those players we`ve been linked to would you prefer to see in a Fulham shirt.

However, returning to our previous poll, a massive 41% voted that you were not optimistic and could foresee a hard struggle this coming season whilst only 25% remained optimistic.

As for the other two options, 26% preferred to reserve judgement whilst the comedians amongst us, 8, were looking towards possible UEFA Cup qualification.

Thanks for your support.

Afraid we all have to be realistic, a new manager who appears to have 'lost the dressing room' already and also seems to be preparing us for some Wimbledon style football, a measly transfer budget compared to our rivals and an influx of half decent Championship players rumoured to be coming to SW6, all points to a season of hardship and ultimately relegation! I don't think I have been this pessimistic about the forthcoming season in the 25 years I've watched Fulham.

As an outsider, from your near-neighbours, I'd have to agree with you Zeno!
