Did we really bid £7 million for West Bromwich Albion duo Jason Koumas and Diomansy Kamara?

With the media alive with reports that we bid £7 million for the two stalwarts of a West Bromwich Albion team that narrowly failed to regain their Premiership status, all we can get out of those at Craven Cottage is a terse statement,

"We have a policy of not discussing transfer speculation and only when something is done will we announce it."

All very well, but some of us are getting a little bored waiting for some action.

Both are decent players, Koumas actually turned us down a few years ago when he was still at Tranmere (allegedly). Am a bit concerned that we have bid so much, on top of the £7m there were two players offered too!
