'If It's Football, It's Vital'

£100,000 a Week!

With Blackburn Rovers and Manchester City looking the most likely to fall into foreign ownership and join the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Aston Villa, and Liverpool who already have, our owner has some words of wisdom for any potential buyers.

Mohammed Al Fayed is apparently baffled by the unmitigated rush to buy a Premiership club, indeed, it`s almost as if owning a Premiership club has become something akin to a fashion statement, therefore any potential buyers may like to heed his words,

"Until now every month I have to open my pocket and give £1 million or £2 million. If you want to win you have to pay up to £100,000 a week. It is crazy."

Clearly food for thought!

Old Al needs to stop moaning and open his wallet for you lot or your gonna be in trouble this year!!!!!!!!!
Dicksy
I'll second that - Fulham and Man City - both in dire straits!

No Putney, you cannot 'loan' a million or two!

Maybe it's time for Mr Al Fayed to move on!
sandgroanun
Afraid I agree with sandgroanun, Al Fayed was our saviour and Fulham fans will always be indebted to him for bringing us from the brink of nonexistence, but I feel he has taken us as far as he can now. We've forgotten the 4th division days and Torquay away and are now expecting the club to push on and bring us more success. A major backer who is willing to invest more money than Mom is at the moment is required.
Zeno
trouble is - you're not an exciting prospect!
merlin
I'd disagree with that merlin, we have the potential to be a big club with our location and history!
Zeno
location is okay, ground is poor, history - we need to make some more - any American backers interested!
Putney
but poor support numbers wise will always limit you!
