Pandiani! Gunslinger?

With Lawrie Sanchez seemingly tracking Walter Pandiani, should we be asking if he is a suitable candidate when it comes to resurrecting our fortunes.

Pandiani, currently playing for Espanyol in La Liga, is affectionately known as The Rifle and has the reputation of being a proven goal scorer.

However, what concerns us is that Pandiani hardly set English football alight in a spell with Birmingham City.

Indeed, it would seem, from our recollections that his experience in England proved to be a frustrating time.

With Al Fayed keen to see Lawrie Sanchez take us to another level, possibly a level above that of a club fighting off relegation, we here at Vital Fulham cannot help but feel that signing Pandiani isn`t a wise move.

We have the general feeling that signing Pandiani would be akin to signing an ageing gunslinger wanting one last pay-day as opposed to a sharp-shooter keen to make his mark in the best domestic league around.

Do you agree or have we (as usual) got it all wrong?
