'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Zat Knight to Sunderland?

With Anti Niemi supposedly linked with a move to West Ham United this morning, it transpires that another of our first team squad could be about to move on.

With Lawrie Sanchez keen to impose his style of football on the club, a style that has reportedly not been universally welcomed by some of the playing staff, a few comings and goings are only to be expected.

The latest to be linked with a move away is Zat Knight. The twenty-seven year old defender is reportedly a target for Roy Keane and his newly promoted Sunderland.

Knight, who infamously broke his jaw, playing with his brother, fell out of favour when Chris Coleman was in charge but, thanks to an injury to Ian Pearce, forced his way back into contention when Sanchez took over.

Whilst our poll, published a few days ago, confirmed that you believed the defence was the area we needed to strengthen most, it`s a little worrying that, at the moment, the talk is more about players leaving than players arriving.
