Brown Faces Ban!

Brown Faces Ban!

I suppose it was inevitable that video technology would nail Michael Brown!

In a weekend whereby Michael Ball stole the thunder with his stamp on Ronaldo, I`d sort of hoped that the head-but Brown aimed at Xabi Alonso might sneak under the radar. No such luck.

The incident although missed by all four officials, who were busy sunning themselves at the Thameside location, did catch the eye of those who govern our game and Brown has been charged with violent conduct.

The charge automatically carries a three game ban and Brown has until 6pm on Wednesday to respond to the charge.

Barring a miracle, it looks as if the Football Association hearing scheduled for 18:00 hours on Thursday will enforce the three game ban thereby removing Brown from the line-up at Middlesbrough and the first two games of next season.
