Sessegnon In Team Of The Week (4/1/18)

Sessegnon In Team Of The Week (4/1/18)

Fulham are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Ryan Sessegnon in the four one victory over Ipswich Town the last matchday at Craven Cottage was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Sessegnon was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Four goals in 10 crazy minutes saw Fulham come from a goal down to defeat Ipswich Town 4-1 at Craven Cottage. 17-year-old Sessegnon grabbed himself a brace, along with an assist in the victory, as the Cottagers made it three triumphs out of four. A special mention to Aboubakar Kamara, who also scored twice and can feel aggrieved not to have been included!'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Sessegnon for his recognition, but the most important thing about the game was of course the points.

Full Team:

Jordan Smith (Nottingham Forest), Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham), Daniel Ayala (Middlesbrough), Ethan Pinnock (Barnsley), Robert Snodgrass (Aston Villa), Matt Bloomfield (Wycombe Wanderers), Tom Naylor (Burton Albion), Tom Pett (Stevenage), Kane Hemmings (Mansfield Town), Tom Eaves (Gillingham), Robbie Willmott (Newport County).

Manager Steve Cotterill (Birmingham City).
