Fulham 1 Norwich 1 - Post Match Managerial Views

In the opening fixture of the 2017 / 2018 Championship season, Fulham and Norwich City shared the honours at Craven Cottage, with a 1-1 draw.

The points looked to be there for the taking for Fulham but a late equaliser from Norwich dampened the spirit in the Fulham camp, but what did the managers make of it all.

Speaking to the media, after the final whistle, this is what Slavisa Jokanovic had to say about the late goal and the possibility of it being offside

'I am frustrated as I could not complain about offside. I'm not sure if it was legal or illegal, simply we have dropped two points.

'I see no point in complaining - it's about looking forward, not about the past.

'It's always disappointing to concede at that late point in the game. We are in a similar situation to last season when we were creating chances but not scoring enough.'

As for the Norwich City manager, Daniel Farke, in his first game in English football, the former Borussia Dortmund man had this to say, about the late equaliser and the subsequent yellow card it earned the scorer,

'Nelson is from Portugal and very emotional. It was really kind of him to show me the shirt after scoring the equaliser.

'Hopefully that was not a sign for me because I can't do without him.

'He's a really good guy and has a good character but sometimes emotions burn a little bit in him. But there are no problems.'

One down, another forty-five games to go!
