Stearman Leaves Fulham Football Club
Fulham have bade farewell to a defender who wasn`t part of Slavisa Jokanovic`s plans.
Yesterday (Thursday), it was announced that Richard Stearman had left Craven Cottage on a permanent basis.
The 29-year-old defender, signed from Wolverhampton Wanderers by Fulham, has joined Sheffield United, putting pen-to-paper on a three-year deal.
Last season, Stearman returned to Wolverhampton Wanderers, on loan, with the defender making 19 appearances in all competitions.
For Stearman it was a return home with the defender having made 211 league appearances for the club, between 2008 and 2015, before moving to West London.
As for a fee, the reports emerging term it as an undisclosed fee, meaning we`ll never know whether we made or lost money on this particular deal.
Talking about acquiring the services of Stearman, the Sheffield United manager, Chris Wilder, had this to say to the media,
'Richard was our number one target throughout the summer and I'm delighted he has signed."
Here at Vital Fulham we`d like to wish Richard all the best at his new club whilst also wishing to thank him for the contribution to the Fulham cause.
