Norwich City 1 Fulham 3

Fulham became the first away team to win at Carrow Road, in 2017, with an emphatic win against Norwich City on Good Friday.

The win is even more convincing when you take into account the fact that Fulham played the entire second-half with ten-men after Chris Martin was sent-off just before the half-time whistle.

The Cottagers also kept their play-off aspirations alive although a late winner for Sheffield Wednesday, leave Fulham just adrift of the top six.

Against Norwich, Fulham dominated the first half and took the lead when Stefan Johansen found the bottom corner, from twenty-yards out, with a left-footed shot.

With Norwich offering very little up front, Fulham looked to be cruising until Chris Martin was adjudged to have caught Mitchell Dijks with an elbow just before the half-time whistle.

Although the Cottagers were down to ten-men for the second half the lead was soon doubled when Tom Cairney was on hand to score from the penalty spot.

Norwich though did mount a fight-back and the arrears were reduced when Cameron Jerome scored with a header.

Our hosts pushed for an equalizer but were leaving themselves wide open for the counter-attack and it was from such a move that, late-on, Fulham put the game beyond Norwich. A through ball from Lucas Piazon saw Floyd Ayite skip away, round the Norwich keeper and slot the ball home.

With four games left to play, Fulham cannot afford any slip-ups and the battle for that final play-off spot could go down to the last game of the season when Fulham travel to Hillsborough to take on Sheffield Wednesday, what a game that could be.
