Fulham 1 Wolves 3 - Views from the Bench

Fulham 1 Wolves 3 - Views from the Bench

Surprisingly, a week in which Fulham have taken just one point from the six points on offer at Craven Cottage, the club finds themselves just one point off a promotion play-off place.

Losing 3-1 at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers wasn`t on the agenda, but as we`ve found out before, anything can happen in this game of ours.

Following the set-back yesterday, Slavisa Jokanovic had this to say to the media,

'We started well, we moved the ball and we created some chances, but we made one very big mistake.

'The second half, we tried to take more of a risk, but they scored a second which killed us. It's not easy when you are two goals behind to get a good result.

'After playing well against Newcastle, it's part of football. We believe we can make one step and be in the top six before the international break.'

As for the Wolves boss, Paul Lambert, who is now starting to lead his side away from the relegation fight, the Scotsman had this to say to the media,

'On Tuesday against Brentford we were outstanding, but today we surpassed that.

'I thought we played a terrific game, with intensity and a game plan that worked, and we looked a threat every time we went forward, against probably the best football team in the league.

'Helder Costa has been fantastic, I think he had a little spell where he went off the boil, but the last few games he's been at his best.'

It`s been a good week for Wolves, two wins in West London, wasn`t that the outcome we were anticipating for Fulham this time last week?
