Fulham v Spurs - Pre-Match Fascinating Facts

Fulham v Spurs - Pre-Match Fascinating Facts

With the 5th round time, at Craven Cottage, against Spurs fast approaching, we`ve assembled a few facts and figures for you to dissect.

• The last time the two sides met in the FA Cup, Fulham registered an emphatic win, winning a 4th round tie, in the 2010 / 2011 season by 4-0.

• Sadly that win was the only time in the 6 meetings the two sides have had in the FA Cup Fulham have won, Spurs have won the other 5.

• If Fulham can win on Sunday it will be the first time they`ve knocked out two Premier League sides, as a lower league side, since the 1998 / 1999 season when Aston Villa and Southampton were beaten.

• Fulham`s record at Craven Cottage is good. They`ve won 4 games on the bounce in all competitions and the only defeat in 11 games came against promotion chasing Brighton and Hove Albion.

• Fulham haven`t progressed beyond the FA Cup 5th round since the 2009 / 2010 season, when they did they were knocked out of the quarter-finals, after a replay by…………….Spurs!

• Spurs record on the road recently isn`t good. The last 14 fixtures have produced just 2 wins and they`ve lost 6 and drawn 6.

• The omens bode good for Fulham, on the last 4 occasions they been drawn against London opponents they`ve been knocked out - Fulham in 2011, Chelsea in 2012, Arsenal in 2014 and Crystal Palace in 2016.
