Fulham: Boa Morte at Wet Spam??

West Ham United have completed a £5 million signing of midfielder Luis Boa Morte from Fulham according to reports.

In August 2005 he was chased strongly by Newcastle United but pledged his future to Fulham and was made team captain.

Boa Morte made his debut in English football for Arsenal when he became one of Arsène Wenger's first signings for the club. After being released by Arsenal, Boa Morte signed for Southampton but his best form only came following his move back to London when he signed for Fulham.

This has been reported early this morning and our friends at Vital West Ham have also reported that Mathew Etherington is coming to Fulham as part of the deal, as yet none of this has been confirmed.
It would be ironic if both Etherington and Simon Davies (a recently rumoured target for Coleman) end up at Fulham after Spurs signed them both from Peterborough as youngsters, with Etherington being farmed out to West Ham and Davies to Everton.

Is it a good move for Fulham? £5million plus a player for someone heading for the twilight of their career? Good luck for the rest of the season ('cept against us, of course.) www.westham.vitalfootball.co.uk
Adam Mansell
Not sure he will be happy with the move by the end of the season if West Ham are sent down.

I am inclined to agree with you there Squeaky mate but what can you do if he wants to go? 5 million is a good price for Boa Morte and should be enough to find a good replacement.
Cravens
Dempsey maybe??????? Or Montella, I heard that he had quite a good left foot.
wei, wu and shu
Why did he want to leave is what I wanna know??????? He was captain of tye team, and he always started, I don't see why he would want to leave.
loubie
Maybe he wasn't getting treated right. I dunno, go and ask Mr. Coleman!!!
