'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No regrets from Fulham keeper.

Fulham stopper, Jan Lastuvka admits that he has no regrets what so ever about leaving Ukrainian Champions, Shaktar Donetsk on the last day of the Summer transfer window.

The White's keeper made a bad, less than impressive debut against Blackburn and despite an amazing display from the Czech man, against Liverpool at the weekend he still let in four goals as the Fulham defence crumbled.

With Antti Niemi on the operating table, Lastuvka is getting his first run in the side since he joined Fulham on the 31st of August 2006, and he is determined to show Fulham manager, Chris Coleman, he made the right decision in moving to the Premiership

'If I had stayed at Shaktar Donetsk, I could have taken part in the Champions League, but the Premiership is the same level as the Champions League,' Lastuvka told MF Dnes.

'I like playing in big games and I have them here every round. I want to show I am capable of playing in the English Premier league.'

'I feel fine, this will not put me down. I rather try to learn my lessons. I don't know English football very much yet, as I haven't had a lot of experience.'

'It is extremely fast. You cannot lose concentration for even a second, otherwise it will be beyond you.'

He is a good keeper, and if he keeps playing the way he did against Liverpool, he will play himself into the Czech Republic first team squad.
